CLIENT SENTIMENT

Client-sentiment is a KPI indicating how client/customers feel towards the market. This help traders identify general market sentiment towards a wide range of asset classes for different service offerings. For now we are using long customer, short customer, and volume for each market type on service offering.

We use streaming data from Red panda and OLAP DWH data to first make the view of the sentiment data this is created in Databricks. This is hosted privately within the back-end network and then use the DMZ network to reflect this data on public websites.
The requisite data resides within StoneX’s internal Databricks instance. A job runs within Databricks every 10 minutes, gets execution view data from Kafka and OLAP data from DWH. This centralises information into a specific view.

The REST API can be used to display client sentiment on social, websites and CRM platforms amongst others.
Further development work will be required to expose this on the platform.
